Praised be upon Him, finally I managed to drop something in this page. This is why I don’t like coming back to SA. Technically, I’m not that busy, but just feel the life is a bit hectic here. This is what I have to deal with in the future. Sounds funny is it?hehe
Well, for the past couple of days I was quite focused on completing my ethics assignment, which discussed on the Malaysia Incorporated Policy, which was implemented by the fourth premier, Dr. M. It’s really enjoyable doing this task since I love economy. I still remember when my economic teacher told me during my A-level days, “kidirr, I can’t see you as doctor, the way you think is more towards being economist.”
I just wish that one day I get into economic courses, I just want to learn how the money distributed. Again, sounds funny right? Back to the MIP. Theoretically this policy is just one of the brilliant ideas thrown by the leaders, but the problem is the implementation. I don’t know what is happening or had happened behind the closed doors, but all I can say is that this policy has yet to achieve the objectives.
Another stuff that I have to take care of is dealing with the pusat sukan Uitm. This work supposed to be very simple but then bureaucracy makes it tough. So many things they have to do, as what they said, to decide, whether to approve or reject, our application to use the sports facilities. It is really tired when I have to keep on waiting playing their game. This situation put me in the situation where I am so ashamed to face En. Najmi, as my department hasn’t given any positive result.
In public sector, bureaucracy is one of the biggest obstacles that had to be faced by the people. A few important investors had flown away to other countries, just because this problem in Malaysia. For example, Dr. Tan Chai Ha, who is a famous kidney transplant specialist in the UK. Initially, he really wanted to set a base here in Malaysia. But as a Malaysian, he was required to serve the government for three years! Finally, he pulls away and left for Singapore, where he is treated nicely by the Singapore government. The B factor is just one of the factors why Malaysia has so many professionals working abroad, and have no intention of coming back. Such a waste!
Supposedly, the government should give privilege to this group of Malaysians. They knowledge, skills and (the most important thing) money is very important to the nation. We are not talking about patriotism but with what they, the govt would gain much revenue. Some reformations need to take place!
Edging vision 2020, so many steps and improvements need to be done by the govt or else, vision 2020 is just a long time dream. B factor is one thing, the PIC in the govt departments also need to shift the paradigm. Then we can have a better govt services and in the long run, Malaysia will develop as one of the economic tigers in the region. Hopefully.
