Football!!

Well, it’s time to talk about what most of the people in the planet crazy about, football (in the US, they call it soccer..in case you mistakenly imagine the American football J). Since I love football very much, it would be good for me to share my opinion with you guys.

Other than the World Cup and European Championship, I love Barclay Premier League(BPL), European Champions League(UCL) as well as Malaysia Super League very much. Malaysia league? I would say yes because I love my hometown team (the Red Warriors!!) so much and thank God, after being in the dark ages for so long, they are back as the main contenders. J

Let’s begin with the European football. Straight to the point, I love Manchester United, ever since 1994. At that moment, I love the team because following my uncle’s footstep, since at that moment he was my idol in everything he did including the way he dressed! As I grew up, I got to know the team better and if you asked me why I’m with the Red Devil, the answer is : they are the true winners!!

This season (2009-10), after quite a slow start, they managed to be the title contender (as usual J ). This season’s championship can be said as the most entertaining ever as the league had already reached February, the title is still up for grab!

The same way in previous seasons, MU plays attractive football with very quick counter attacking display. Thus, whenever they played against smaller clubs, the opponents tend to play defensively and closed game. To be fair, I wouldn’t say that MU plays the most beautiful football in the league. In my opinion, Arsenal’s game is nicer, but the problem with the team is that they depend too much on their captain, Cesc Fabregas.

In contrary to MU, they didn’t depend on one player so much, of course they relied on Wayne Rooney to get goals, but without this wonderkid, they still managed to get good results. Another contender is Chelsea. This team, wonderfully, play good football since Carlo Ancelotti took over in the summer.
